I spent most of January at home editing photos from last year (I took so much, I am drowning!) but it's also been great seeing how many amazing memories and smiles were made in 2017. I thought I was ending January without going out of town but I'm glad my friends organized a quick trip to the beach before January ended. Luckily, the trip coincided with a lunar event which will probably only happen once in my lifetime.
Driving up to see our friends and their dog, Motke (this post will be filled with his pictures so I hope you'll love him too at the end of this post)
Made our way to Pundaquit and get on a boat to reach Nagsasa Cove. The waves were pretty strong so our friend Omri (Motke's dad!) had to carry him on the boat.
I've posted about Nagsasa Cove before so if you're curious to read that, check it out HERE
Say hi to this adorable and lovable gentle giant!

I mean, we're pretty obsessed with Motke. Isn't it obvious? Haha!
We arrived to an empty Nagsasa Cove . There were at most 3 groups. It was definitely refreshing to actually be the only ones at the beach. Last time I visited, the place was packed!

Ta-da! The Super Blue Blood Moon finally showed up! We were quite worried because the moon rose behind the mountains. Thankfully, it rose high enough that we were able to see the eclipse from the beach. Never thought that I'd ever see a blood moon again. I remember seeing one a few years ago but I didn't really get to see it as big as this. I also wasn't able to photograph it so it's pretty amazing that I got to do both this time.
Morning coffee in the nearby sari-sari store.
Hello from all of us!
I also picked up a Fujifilm X100T before this trip so it was a perfect way to take it for a test drive! Most of the photos in the post were taken with it except photos 3, 4, 5, 21, 22, 23 & 29.
