Last March, I had the amazing privilege to spend a couple of nights in The Majestic Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. I’ve only seen photos online (thank you Google and location search on Instagram lol!) of the place so I was excited to experience it first hand.
So right after my Yogyakarta adventure, I decided to pass by Bali since I was already in Indonesia. I checked flights from Yogyakarta and the prices were reasonable so I booked the ticket right away! Bali accommdations are usually known for their beautiful villas so I was pretty excited to be staying with Lifestyle Retreats this trip! I was able to experience The Santai & The Amala, two of their six properties around Bali.
A couple of months after visiting Yogyakarta for the first time, I never really stopped thinking about how curious I am to see more of the city. Sadly, during my first visit, we were only there for a couple of days so I didn't really get to see a lot of places (specially Borobudur). For about a year, I've been communicating with my friends over at Greenhost Boutique Hotel to organize a photography workshop and happy to say, it finally happened!
I spent most of January at home editing photos from last year (I took so much, I am drowning!) but it's also been great seeing how many amazing memories and smiles were made in 2017. I thought I was ending January without going out of town but I'm glad my friends organized a quick trip to the beach before January ended. Luckily, the trip coincided with a lunar event which will probably only happen once in my lifetime.
Late last year, I was fortunate to finally experience Autumn in Japan. It was definitely one of the most magical (not exaggerating!) experiences I've ever had. I still remember tearing up in the train bound for Kyoto when I first saw yellow trees outside. I've always wanted to experience fall since we don't have it in the Philippines. Living in a country where there is only sun and rain, I've always wondered what it was like to see trees turn orange, red, and yellow.
Time to continue our adventure around Indonesia with the Ministry of Tourism of Indonesia! (I know, it’s been forever since I updated about thist trip. Sorry!) After eating our way through Padang and seeing a few sights, we’ve finally come to the last leg of our trip: Yogyakarta and Bali. We will be spending a few days in Yogyakarta before finally arriving at our last stop in Bali.
One of the places I freuqent when I come to Hong Kong is Central. Actually, now that I think about it, it's where I mostly spend my time whenever I find myself running around Hong Kong. What I love about the area is that there are so many things to see (and places to eat!!). Naturally, when I came to visit, I jumped on the opportunity to be able to stay in one of Hong Kong's finest: Landmark Mandarin Oriental.
My favorite holiday would probably be Christmas. I just love how everything around you seems so happy and jolly. I also grew up getting excited to wake up on the 25th and finding gifts under the Christmas tree for me and my siblings — which was one of the most exciting things ever!
I've always loved visiting Hong Kong. Most of the time, when airlines announce seat sales, I instantly check flights to Hong Kong. I've always love just being in this city. I just love how alive the city feels. I've written a lot about Hong Kong in my blog and honestly, I've no regrets about sharing my love about this city. The sights, the food, the tram rides (lol!), and everything else.
